Website Improvements
01.22.2009

As is the case with many expanding companies, Phoenix Multisport has outgrown its original website and we are now racing to catch up with demand. We have always had huge plans for the site and are finally at a place where it makes sense to begin working to make those plans a (virtual) reality. Through a new partnership with Moxie Sozo, a Boulder based design firm, Phoenix is ready to take its website to the next level. Moxie Sozo is a well-respected firm whose clients include Sierra Designs, Golite, Mazda, Smartwool, Rock & Ice, and Newman?s Own. Moxie?s excitement for our mission, creative flare, and technical know-how make them an ideal partner for this project. While we can?t get into ALL of the details about the new site right now, here are a few things to be excited about: ? Get ready for a fully functional and interactive member profile (think of a cross between Yahoo groups and Facebook) a place where you can post pictures, movies, blog, and communicate with other PM members. ? One-click event registration with tons of additional features to help prepare members for events. ? A new feature that lets members communicate directly with one another about scheduled trips and events. ? Easy-to-use retail store and classified pages. ? PDF?s of all of our paperwork as well as past PM newsletters. ? An easy-to-use, printable event calendar (Finally!). ? Ability to post comments with pictures as well as download pictures directly from the site. ? Members will be able to add their own photos to event pages after the event. ? Discussion lists that can be generated by members. ? Team Member photos will be incorporated into the PM Homepage. ? Individual sites for team members who are racing or doing other events on behalf of PM to aid with their fund-raising. In addition to these new features, the website will have a new cooler look and will be easier to use. Subtle changes are noticeable right now, and with any luck the whole project will be completed by March ?09! While you are waiting for the new and improved site make sure to head over to the PM Facebook and MySpace sites, these are great ways to network with other members until our new site launches! Current changes that have already been made include the ability to download photos from the site as well as posting comments on photos.
