Phoenix Multisport sponsored athlete, Molly Throdahl, placed first in her age group at the Leadville 50 mile Silver Rush Mountain Bike Race! When asked about her race, Molly stated, "Leadville was the toughest race I have done so far. 50miles at high altitude through the mining district in Leadville. I came in 8th woman and 1st in my age group just under 6 hours 5:54. My strategy was to keep moving forward even if it was really slow and drink and eat so not to bonk! The last 10 miles I turned the engines on and battled it out with two girls. The last 1/4mile was steep uphill then down and up to finish and they couldn't hang on to me!" A huge Congratulations goes out to Molly for her commitment and accomplishment. She was just given "expert" racing status and we look forward to seeing her rise to the new level of challenge!
